YBorder is a Saas Platform that allows:
1) Local recruitment firms to offer technical jobs abroad to their best tech candidates
2) Companies across the globe to get access to pre-qualified tech candidates that are located outside of their national market.
3) Candidates to be supported in their search for a job abroad from the first interview to the salary negotiations.
If the specific skills employers are looking for are not currently available on the platform, they can create an alert to be informed as soon as a new candidate arrives on the platform that matches their needs- by email or directly in their ATS.
According to a 2014 study made by BCG, 70% of today’s engineers and technical talents are willing to go and work abroad.
The world is hungry for what these workers have to offer, and engineers have a real chance to significantly increase their earnings by going to places like Silicon Valley in the U.S. and Silicon Roundabout in the UK. Hence why we created a platform to adapt to the modern realities in tech recruitment.

YBorder is unlike any recruitment platform available because it is managed by and created for headhunters and recruitment agencies to promote their talent that want to move abroad and work for global minded companies.
We believe the human element is essential in any successful recruitment and cannot be bypassed. Hence the reason why headhunters are the only ones qualifying the candidates on the platform.
We believe computer matching is not there to replace recruitment firms but to help improve the recruitment process.

Why? For several reasons. First, quality matters to us. We only allow the best tech talents to access the platform and so reciprocally look for great companies and positions. Second, it just makes pragmatic sense: the pre-screening ensures our candidates correspond to the needs of the company. Third, we look at investing time in the relationships we form with companies because we believe it delivers better results and candidates.
IF I AM A CANDIDATE LOOKING FOR A JOB, HOW DO I GET MY PROFILE ON YBORDER?
Most of our candidates are hunted by recruitment firms that have partnered with YBorder and thus signed up on the platform through them.
If you are not already in touch with a recruiter, you can also sign up directly on our website and the recruitment firm partner from your country will give you a call to qualify your skills and experience.
At the end we select the top 10% of the candidates’ applications.
WHO IS BEHIND YBORDER?
At the beginning, in January 2015, there were 4 of us:
the 2 co-founders of Mobiskill looking for a way to internationalize their recruitment firm’s business (Baptiste Vavdin and Jean-Noël Houdu), and a digital headhunter (Maya Noël) trying to find a job abroad for one of her developer friends (Jérémy Dubois).
That’s how YBorder’s idea was born: streamlining cross-border recruitments by providing a platform where headhunters can exchange information about local jobs and talent they have in their own countries.
HOW IS YBORDER RUN?
Jean Noel meets and picks the local recruitment firms that are ready to offer their best tech candidates willing to relocate.
Baptiste ensures these candidates are matched with top companies hungry to recruit the world’s best and brightest tech talent.
Jared and Olivier support candidates from the search on the platform up until the salary negotiations.
Jeremy and Ben make sure the magic happens at all times with a fully functional platform satisfying all its different users.
Maya, like a conductor, takes care of coordinating the whole team so it sounds like the Berlin Symphonic orchestra.
Josephine takes care of national press reviews and hopes to influence the audience’s rating online.
HOW IS YBORDER FUNDED?
We raised 700 000 euros with ISAI in December 2016, in order to extend our activity in the UK, Germany and Canada.
We are also being advised by two prestigious entrepreneurs, Cédric Barbier (founder of lesjeudis.com) and Fred Montagnon (founder of Overblog and Secret Media)
DOES YBORDER HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE?
We have partnered with 25 headhunting agencies in 19 countries across Europe to make sure we can supply the biggest pool of talent to companies.
We are looking to expand outside Europe once we feel confident we can tackle the visa issue outside of the EU.
WHAT ARE YBORDER'S FUTURE PLANS FOR GROWTH?
We are looking to diversify the sectors in which we provide services: sectors that experience a high shortage of skills and would benefit from an online coordination of national job markets.
On the long term, we want to provide a tool for headhunters to become better and smarter at matching talented people with great companies.
